13 teen yrs old -in S. Africa in Zulu Land
These are the aircraft I did fly
This was the last picture taken by dad of me with my Mom you & friends in Zululand South Africa -where mom & dad lived " Mtunzini" - I was 14 yrs old. My head was down that day -I was going back to Durban -to Peters house. I was sad that day- That was the last day I saw dad alive - I was back at Peters house -in Durban city - I was told dad died shortly after this picture.
Peter & I wanted to join the merchant marine at the young age 16 years old to Travel the world but never did-instead we went to work for the s. African railway- They also highered for the Durban Harbour. He worked on the tug boats and I worked on the largest dredger in the world at that time.
After work one day we both walked past a very big brick harbour office building where lots of beautiful girls were working - It just so happened there were two beautiful girls leaving the building on their way home.
Peter and I said hello to them and the rest was history - Peter married Lorna - her friend I just don't remember
what happened to her . I left shortly after for America -never to return- .
20 yrs later I went back to s. Africa to visit my sister - I saw them both - they both had a Family then -
My American accent stopped the girl's - That was my parting gift for my best friend -Peter who I loved like a brother.

There were three brothers Peter, Derek & John (sorry to say I have no pictures of John) They all were like my brothers. I always looked up to them- I guess they really never knew that -but to me they were .
